Palace Skateboards professional skateboarder Lucien Clarke has officially moved on from DC Shoes and skaters have been spotting him skating the streets in a pair of black Gucci skate shoes.
After last year’s promo with the Full Circle DC Pro Shoe, some skaters were confused seeing him ride something else, but now it makes sense.
Clarke is no longer with DC and he is clearly doing his own thing.
Clarke first got involved with Louis Vuitton back in 2020 through Virgil Abloh. That connection gave him a chance to ride for a luxury fashion house, something most skaters could only dream of.
After Abloh passed away, that chapter ended and Clarke was left without a skate shoe home for a couple of years.
In 2022 DC Shoes brought him on, giving him full creative freedom and letting him run his projects the way he wanted. That time at DC helped him get back on his feet and stay visible in the skate world while keeping his style intact.
Now in November 2025, Clarke has been seen skating in Gucci shoes and everyone is talking.
There is no official word from Gucci yet on whether he will actually be representing the brand like he did with Louis Vuitton.
For now it is just sightings and speculation, but Clarke is clearly testing the streets in something different, making everyone do a double take.
He posted on social media about leaving DC Shoes saying
"My time at @dcshoes has come to an end. I’d like to thank @joshkalis and @minterbeast for putting me on & giving me the freedom & the full control to be creative while I was there. SALUTE to the whole DC squad 🫡🫡🫡 🏴☠️🏁"
The post was filled with respect for the team that supported him, but it also shows that he is ready to move forward and try new things.
Skate heads are watching Clarke real close. Whether he is going to be Gucci’s poster boy for skating or just out here rocking their shoes for now, either way he is already getting people talking.
Everyone is excited to see how this next chapter unfolds and where Clarke will go in the months to come.
