Violet Skateboards pro skater Kader Sylla has officially unveiled his first signature footwear model with adidas Skateboarding, simply called the “Kader.”
The mid top draws inspiration from adidas Equipment basketball shoes from the 1990s, while the design is made with skateboarding in mind.
It comes in two colorways and features the Three Stripes worked directly into the lacing system, giving the branding a functional purpose.
The shoe uses a durable cupsole, a full length Lightmotion midsole, AdiTuff underlays, and a premium suede upper designed to handle regular abuse at the skatepark.
“I wanted to make something that felt like me and that I’d actually want to wear every day,” Kader said in an official statement.
To celebrate the release, Kader is also heading out on a global World Tour. The North American leg starts October 1, with demos and skateshop appearances planned across several cities, including Minneapolis and Los Angeles.
For Kader, getting his own adidas shoe is a pretty big deal, and the finished model gives fans a closer look at his personal approach to footwear and skating.
