As we previously reported, the Sci-Fi Fantasy skate team has been catching criticism after being accused of leaving a local skatepark covered in trash following a session.

According to the complaints, cans and other rubbish were left behind, with locals eventually having to clean up the mess themselves.

One local skater, Brandon, tried to keep things pretty relaxed while addressing the situation.

He pointed out that Sci-Fi Fantasy is not the only crew that has left garbage behind and said the main issue was simply making an effort to keep the park clean.

“Hello all, just a reminder, it’s not that deep, they are not the only team that leaves trash at the skatepark, it is just a kind reminder to keep our spaces clean, so we don’t lose them. ❤️ skateboarding rocks.”

The response was not framed as an attack on the team.

Brandon's message was more of a request for everyone who uses the park to clean up after themselves, regardless of which crew they ride with.

Jerry Hsu, however, did not distance himself from his team following the criticism.

The Sci-Fi Fantasy head honcho stood behind the crew and responded with a short message that made his position pretty obvious.

“And we’ll do it again.”

The comment quickly became the part of the exchange that got the most attention. Rather than issuing an apology or separating himself from what his team had been accused of doing, Hsu chose to back his crew.

That is also what makes the situation interesting.

Skate teams are often built around close friendships and a shared identity, so criticism directed at one member can easily become criticism aimed at the entire group.

In this case, Hsu made it clear that he was not going to throw his own team under the bus because of complaints from locals.

At the same time, Brandon's original message shows that not everyone involved was looking to turn the situation into a serious feud.

Now the exchange has left skaters with two very different reactions.

Some will see Hsu's response as loyalty toward his crew, while others will probably think the situation called for a cleanup rather than a defiant response.

Either way, Hsu has made his position clear. When criticism came toward Sci-Fi Fantasy, he chose to stand with his team and let everyone know he was not backing away from them, showing the loyalty you would expect from a team leader.
