News spread quickly across the country after conservative activist Charlie Kirk was shot and killed at a Utah college event on Wednesday.
Authorities described the incident as a politically motivated attack carried out from a rooftop. Kirk was known for his close connection to former President Donald Trump and for mobilizing young Republican voters across the nation.
The news hit hard and had everybody talking, from folks who backed Kirk to the ones who didn’t mess with him at all. Outta nowhere, one of the voices jumping in wasn’t even from politics but from the skate world.
The Boonies pro skater Jason Ellis hopped on social media and dropped his thoughts about what went down.
Ellis posted a short but heartfelt message, saying that politics aside, this was a deeply sad moment.
He told everyone that Kirk had a family who now has to deal with the loss of someone they loved. Ellis stressed that no matter what political side a person might stand on, this kind of violence should never be acceptable.
In a video that quickly circulated online, Ellis appeared visibly shaken. Sitting quietly, he admitted he was struggling to process the news. “I just can’t believe that it got to this level,” he said. His voice carried the weight of disbelief, showing that the news had genuinely affected him.
Ellis did not try to take a partisan stance. Instead, he spoke from a human perspective, focusing on the impact of losing a life and the grief that now surrounds Kirk’s family and friends.
Ellis’s words hit on something bigger. When politics turns violent it spreads way past the people in that world. He is a skater not some dude always talking politics but what happened was so wild he had to say something.
End of the day it is not about left or right it is about somebody losing their life out in the open and that pain is something everybody can feel.

"I don’t care what side you’re on this is sad and disgusting."
