The Boonies professional skateboarder Jason Ellis has shared a very open update with fans about his current situation, explaining why he has decided to stop podcasting and sell off many of his personal belongings.
The longtime media personality said the decision came down to money and the simple fact that he can no longer afford to keep his podcast running.
Ellis confirmed that The Jason Ellis Show has officially ended.
While he has stayed active online and built several income streams over the years, the costs of producing the podcast were adding up faster than what he was bringing in.
Even with support from fans and past brand partnerships, it was no longer sustainable.
Despite being paid by Tim Pool for his pro boards connected to The Boonies brand, Ellis said the income was not enough to cover his growing financial obligations.
He also runs an OnlyFans account and other subscription based platforms, but he admitted that none of it has been enough to make a real dent in what he owes.
On top of that, the Hawk Vs. Wolf podcast has also come to an end. Losing that platform meant losing another source of steady income and exposure.
With Ellis now handling his podcast work on his own, the expenses became even harder to justify.
In a post to fans, Ellis explained the situation in his own words and did not sugarcoat it.
"So the podcast has come to an end. I'm selling most of the things I won to pay off my debts. It's a lot of debt! The podcast costs money I simply don't have. There's still my Patreon with Tully & Horse Force with Juls. Thank you."
For fans who still want to support him, Ellis said that his Patreon projects are continuing.
Those platforms are currently the most realistic way for him to keep creating content without taking on additional financial strain.
While it is a tough moment, Ellis seems focused on getting his finances under control and being honest with the people who have supported him along the way.
For now, podcasting is off the table, but his connection with fans is still very much alive through his remaining channels.
