Top-of-the-line skateboarding footwear brand Etnies has launched a new goal for their "Buy A Shoe Plant A Tree Program" BASPAT to plant a total of three million trees.

Back in 2011, the Sole Technology, Inc. company launched "BASPAT," and millions of people in the Etnies community and around the globe supported their program. One decision may not seem like much, but the power of millions of people in the etnies BASPAT community choosing to do one good thing added up.

The etnies BASPAT program started small in Costa Rica with etnies taking a step in the right direction - then it expanded into Brazil and Africa with incredible results to-date.

There were 2,073,405 trees planted and Nearly 200 million lbs. of carbon sequestered over 20 years.

The crew will also be planting a tree for every pair of shoes purchased on their site from Earth Day, and for the people wanting to do more to reforest Africa, a tree will be planted for each etnies BASPAT sticker sold on the site for $1, according to Etnies.
