The last of the Piss Drunx Dustin Dollin has found a new rhythm in life.
While many remember him for his reckless parts in skate videos and wild nights on tour, his latest focus has been on something louder in a different way.
His band, Fine Mess, has been hard at work writing songs, hitting the road, and now stepping into the studio to record their very first full-length record.
For anyone who’s seen Fine Mess live, the band carries the same gnarly attitude that made Dollin stand out.
Their music is loud, awesome, and straight from the gut. It feels like something that could only come from someone who spent decades skating rails, getting kicked out of spots, and living without a backup plan.
The band recently posted an update that gives fans a small taste of what’s coming.
“we cut a record at @soundatmanor you’ll have to be patient darlings.. All of the magic captured by @oakmunson, first LP now underway!”
That’s about all they’re saying for now. No song names, no release date, no teaser clips. Just a few words to let everyone know that the recording process has officially begun.
If you’ve been following Fine Mess from the start, you know they like to keep things minimal and let the music speak for itself.
Dollin has always done things his own way. He never cared about playing it safe or following a script. That same attitude is baked into everything Fine Mess creates.
Their songs sound like broken bottles, cigarette smoke, and a dive bar crowd screaming along with the chorus. It’s a raw kind of honesty that feels rare.
The LP is on its way. Keep your ears open. Fine Mess is just getting started.
