When Diego Nájerа made the move from Primitive Skateboards to Leticia Bufoni’s Monarch Project, a lot of people were caught off guard.

It wasn’t the usual switch you’d expect from a pro who already had it good at one of the biggest names in skateboarding.

Still, Diego chose to ride for a women-led company, showing that he cared more about being part of something meaningful than sticking to the standard path.

During his time with Monarch Project, Diego kept doing what everyone loves him for. Clean style, perfect control, and lines that flow like no one else’s.

It didn’t matter what spot he hit, he always made it look smooth and natural. You could tell he believed in what Monarch stood for and backed Leticia’s vision all the way.

Sadly, it looks like Monarch Project has reached the end of the road. Leticia decided to close the brand, which means Diego is now without a board sponsor.

The announcement hit fans fast, leaving everyone wondering what’s next for him.

Being sponsorless can be a weird place for any skater, but for someone like Diego, it might actually open more doors.

He’s got the skills, the name, and the respect to do his own thing if he wants to. Maybe he’ll start his own company, drop a small run of boards, or even just enjoy skating without worrying about who’s paying for what.

Diego has always kept his focus on skating itself, and that’s what keeps people rooting for him.

Leticia, meanwhile, has been moving in new directions, and shutting down Monarch could be her way of stepping back to focus on other goals.

The brand didn’t last long, but it made an impact for trying something different and giving skaters like Diego a place to shine outside the usual industry mold.

For now, Diego’s next move is anyone’s guess. Whatever he chooses, he’s got the support of fans who just want to see him keep doing what he does best, which is skating the streets and making it look easy.

Who knows, maybe he’ll drop a new part soon or surprise everyone with something completely unexpected. Only time will tell.
