After more than a decade of serving the skateboarding community, Coast Skate has announced that it will be closing its doors permanently in the coming weeks.

Peter and Renee, the owners of the shop, shared a heartfelt message with their followers, expressing both gratitude and the difficulty of the decision.

Running Coast Skate has been a big part of their lives for the past 12 years, but the demands of the business have become increasingly challenging. Working six days a week has taken its toll, and the couple felt it was time to step back and think about what comes next.

In their message, they thanked everyone who has supported the shop over the years. Customers, friends, and fellow skateboarders have played a big role in making Coast Skate a part of the community, and Peter and Renee wanted to make sure that appreciation was clear.

The shop will remain open for a few more weeks, giving people a chance to stop by, say hello, and browse the remaining stock. For anyone looking for deals or just wanting to spend a little time at the shop one last time, now is the chance.

While the closure marks the end of this chapter, the impact Coast Skate has had on its customers and local skateboarders will be remembered fondly. Peter and Renee leave with gratitude and a sense of what comes next, ready to take a break and consider the future beyond the shop.

"After 12 years we have decided that in a few weeks we will close the shop permanently.
This has been a really hard decision to make and although we have loved running the shop, business is getting tougher and we are tired of working 6 days a week so it's time for a break and to think whats next.
We are so grateful for the support of all our customers and friends over the years.
We will still be here for a few weeks, so call in and see us and maybe grab a bargain as we clear stock.
Peter and Renee"
