We've got some horrible news, as Chris Gobber, a second-generation skateboard maker from Arizona, has passed away.
Chris grew up around skateboards, learning the craft from his family and eventually taking it to a whole new level.
He built boards that skaters trusted and loved, and his work earned respect not just in the skateboarding community but also in his neighborhood.
Chris was known for his welcoming nature.
His front yard featured a skatepark that anyone could use, and he encouraged kids and adults to come by, try out his boards, and just have fun.
He loved seeing people enjoy what he made and took pride in sharing his passion with others.
Chris left behind a legacy of craftsmanship, generosity, and community spirit. His boards will continue to be ridden, and his front yard skatepark will continue to be a place where people gather, play, and connect.
Those who knew him remember him not just for his talent but for his openness, kindness, and willingness to share what he loved with everyone around him.

"We lost a real one on Monday. Chris Gobber passed away after having a heart attack. He was an amazing father, friend and the skaters skater.
Our heart goes out to all his friends and family.
Rest In Peace my friend."
