Chad Caruso is preparing for another massive trip across the United States, this time aiming to raise awareness for addiction and mental health while attempting to beat his own record.
In May 2023, Caruso completed an incredible ride from coast to coast, covering 3,162 miles with just his skateboard, a bag, and his determination. He ended that trip by flipping off his board and into the ocean in Virginia Beach, Virginia, celebrating a ride that took 57 days, six hours, and 56 minutes.
His effort earned him the Guinness World Records title for the fastest crossing of America on a skateboard by a male.
That first adventure was full of challenges. He skated through deserts and Appalachian hills, along dirt roads and paved highways, relying on the kindness of strangers and local business owners to keep him going.
Every day presented new obstacles, from long stretches with no supplies to sudden weather changes, yet he kept moving forward, one mile at a time.
Now, Caruso is planning to beat that time with a goal of completing the crossing in just 30 days. The ride will test his limits in ways he has already faced and will require careful planning, endurance, and support along the route.
Caruso shared his excitement on social media, writing:
"One more month until I try to skate across America in 30 days"
This next ride promises to be intense, full of long days and countless miles, but Caruso is ready to take it on with the same determination that carried him the first time.
You can follow his progress as he attempts to set a new record and bring attention to important causes along the way.
