Valparaiso, Chile’s own Cata Diaz has officially been crowned the 2025 Sexiest Skater of the Year, earning massive support from the skateboarding community and locking in the title through community votes alone.
As a CHL-sponsored amateur skateboarder, Cata has steadily built a name that people genuinely care about, and this year the skaters spoke loud for real.
The SSOTY title is not about brands, campaigns, or corporate backing.
Just like the original Thrasher Magazine SOTY format that skaters respect, this award stays rooted in fun, camaraderie, and giving the voice back to skaters themselves.
It is community driven, lighthearted, and honest, which is exactly why it still matters to core heads.
Meme page admin Later Loser who started the SSOTY has announced the win after Cata received the highest number of votes from skaters across the scene.
The crown was handed to her by the skateboarders who are staying true to the streets, not by corporate judges or panels.
Cata’s work speaks for itself as well.

On top of that, she showed absolute control at the Queen of Macba contest, proving she belongs on some of the most respected ground in skateboarding.
Those clips and appearances already place her among the strongest names in women’s street skating right now.
Still, the SSOTY title comes down to something even simpler.
It is about connection, respect, and how much the scene backs you. Votes from core skaters are what matter most, and Cata clearly had that support behind her this year.
