Castle Rock Police Department is getting ready to celebrate Go Skateboarding Day by inviting local skaters to another edition of Skate & Deploy later this month.
According to a post from the department, Skate & Deploy will take place on Sunday, June 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Metzler Ranch Community Park.
The free event is open to skateboarders, scooter riders, and cyclists who want to spend time at the park, meet local officers, and enjoy an afternoon outdoors.
The gathering is part of the department's summer community events, which are designed to bring residents and police officers together in a relaxed setting.
Participants are encouraged to bring their skateboard, scooter, or bike, along with a helmet and plenty of water.
Skate & Deploy is scheduled to coincide with National Go Skateboarding Day, making it a fitting opportunity for local skaters to celebrate alongside others in the community.
The event welcomes everyone of different ages and skill levels, giving everyone a chance to skate, meet fellow riders, and spend time at the park.
The department says participants ride at their own risk and encourages everyone to wear a helmet while taking part.
