As we previously reported, Bam Margera linked up with the Plan B Skateboards team in Costa Rica for their latest demo and signing event.
The trip is also tied to Chris Joslin celebrating his Skater of the Year trip following his win with Thrasher Magazine.
Core heads packed the event to catch the squad skating, meet the pros, and get autographs, but things eventually became too gnarly.
According to Bam, the turnout got so packed that police had to step in and help escort the skaters out safely after the crowd became difficult to manage.
Bam said 16 police officers arrived during the signing and demo in San Jose, Costa Rica.
Bam later posted:
“16 police arrived to the signing and demo. it got too crowded and out of control. They escorted us out safely. Thanks to the San Jose police for the help! Costa Rica🇨🇷
Ps. I have sunburn so bad on my back it has puss bubbles, watch how many people pat my back🤣 fucking pain like no other😎🫶”
Videos from the event showed skaters packed tightly around the team while people tried to get photos and signatures.
Even with the hectic situation, the crew still spent time with fans before police helped move everyone out safely.
Bam also joked about dealing with a brutal sunburn during the demo, saying people kept smacking his back while he was already covered in painful blisters.
