Pro skateboarder Aurelien Giraud has a new part out tied to Independent Trucks, and as expected, he’s ripping through spots with power and technical precision.
He’s locking into flip-in, flip-out combos and stomping big sets like he’s skating in a video game.
But if you’ve been skating for a while or just have a sharp eye, you might’ve caught something that doesn’t exactly scream “Independent.” Some clips show him rolling on Thunder Trucks, which didn’t go unnoticed in the comments.
One skater, Rodrigotorresml, summed it up best:
“Indy part but with hella Thunders LMAO”
That kicked off a bit of discussion, and eventually, Independent chimed in to clear things up:
“Good eye. This part was filmed over time, and Aurelien made the switch to Independent partway through. He’s riding the best now.”
So yeah, it’s a mixed-bag timeline thing. Anyone who’s filmed a full part knows that stacking clips can take months. Sometimes years.
Riders grow, change setups, swap out gear, and evolve. It looks like Aurelien landed on Independent as the go-to by the time the edit came together.
