When you think of Andrew Reynolds, you probably picture the Baker boss stomping massive frontside flips down huge sets.

But these days, Reynolds is also shaping a different kind of project. His very own skate shoe for New Balance Numeric.

David Bluetile had the chance to sit down with The Boss and Jeff Mikut, the lead designer at NB#, at New Balance’s Los Angeles headquarters.

They pulled back the curtain on everything that went into the creation of the Reynolds 933 - from the smallest stitching detail to the bigger picture of what they wanted the shoe to stand for.

Watching The Boss and Jeff talk, it’s obvious there’s a lot of respect between them. Mikut kept mentioning how important it was to make a shoe that truly represented The Baker Boss, not just something that looked cool in a catalog.
