Electronic Arts' skate. could soon have an interesting change behind the scenes.
Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund is reportedly considering a merger between EA and Savvy Games, its gaming company.
Savvy is also working to complete a $6 billion acquisition of Chinese mobile gaming company Scopely.
If the EA deal goes through, skate. could end up under one of the biggest gaming groups in the world, alongside major franchises such as Madden and Pokémon Go.
For skate. players, the game itself would remain under EA, but its corporate ownership could look very different.
