Things have been moving quickly around Luis Mora and the brands connected to him.
As we previously reported, Mora and CEO Marc Roca had taken over Lakai footwear, stepping in, with Rick Howard and Mike Carroll no longer part of the business.
Since then, they have been putting fresh life into Lakai, focusing on growth and giving the brand a stronger presence in skateboarding.
Now that same momentum has carried over into something much bigger.
After taking the lead at Lakai, the new owners have officially brought Tactics into their circle.
And almost immediately after that, the whole thing has started to grow into its own media outlet, similar to what The Berrics built back in the day.
It feels like a natural evolution for what Mora has always done with film and skate culture.
Mora shared the news with his followers, explaining that he has joined Tactics with equity and is now building a new platform for skate clips, community stories and daily updates.
He mentioned that the goal is to give more exposure to skaters and crews who might not always have a place to share their work.
It sounds like he wants to create something consistent and community driven, open to anyone who wants to skate and be part of the culture.
He posted the following:
"My newest project will be working on this skateboarding media and news outlet. I have officially joined Tactics with some equity and plan on building a new platform to share and give exposure to the community. So excited for these new beginnings, big plans for this in the future."
"Crazy to see everything expanding so much. Thanks to everyone who has supported the journey so far. Life is crazy."
The whole thing feels like a natural extension of what Mora has always done with filming and everyday skate life.
Instead of waiting for the next big part or major release, he is setting up a place where daily clips and quick updates can live, giving people something fresh to watch and giving skaters another outlet to be seen.
If things continue at this pace, this new Tactics media project might quickly become a regular stop for skaters everywhere looking for clips, coverage and a steady look at what is happening in skate scenes around the world.
