The College Skateboarding Educational Foundation is excited to welcome Betsy Gordon to its Executive Board.
Betsy comes to CSEF with decades of experience as a historian, author, curator, and producer, having spent much of her career at the Smithsonian documenting the history of American skateboarding and surfing.
Betsy is currently working with the Smithsonian to turn her book, Four Wheels and a Board: The Smithsonian History of Skateboarding, into a touring exhibition that will travel to multiple venues across the country.
This project gives audiences a chance to see skateboarding’s history up close and discover stories that have shaped the culture over the years.
A magna cum laude graduate of Wellesley College, Betsy brings a wealth of knowledge in research, storytelling, and cultural preservation.
At CSEF, she will help guide programs that celebrate skateboarding’s past while supporting the next generation of skateboarders.
