The infamous Hellride ramp in NYC has officially been replaced by something with a very different message.

The new Holy Ride setup has been brought in by the Holy Ride skate crew, complete with a huge transfer and an image of Jesus Christ.

As we previously reported, the Hellride ramp has been one of those spots that core heads knew about.

The steep setup was already intense enough to make even gnarly skaters think twice before dropping in.

Some skaters ended up getting hurt trying to handle the ramp, which only made the spot more notorious around the scene.

They even worked on Hellride II which is insane!

But the ramp has a completely different look.

The Holy Ride crew pulled up and worked on the setup, turning the spot into something that represents their Christian faith.

The new setup features an image of the Lord above and gives the legendary NYC spot a completely different identity.

The change comes at a time when Christian skateboarders have been becoming more visible within the scene.

The skateboarding industry has always had plenty of Satanists.

At the same time, some magazines and brands have used satanic imagery, references to the number of the devil, 666, and other dark themes as part of skateboarding's visual culture.

Those images have become a regular part of certain parts of the scene, especially through graphics, videos and media coverage.

The Holy Ride crew is going in the opposite direction.

Their new setup puts Christ directly into one of NYC's most recognizable DIY style spots. The huge transfer also gives skaters something new to try while giving the location an entirely different personality.

For the skaters who grew up seeing Hellride as a wild and dangerous ramp, seeing Holy Ride take its place is definitely going to get some reactions.

Satanic skaters will miss the old setup, while Christian skaters will be hyped to see what can be done on the new ramp.

So there you have it homies, Hellride is now Holy Ride.

Amen brothers and sisters!
