Eric Koston and Guy Mariano's Numbers Edition Brand is Teasing its Return to the Streets

As we previously reported, pro skaters Eric Koston and Guy Mariano's Numbers Skateboard brand has gone out of business.

Mariano has officially joined Shane O'Neill's brand April Skateboards to continue riding and get paid to do what he loves instead of dealing with the headache of running a business.

After that, Koston was a free agent for three years until he found a new home with Brad Staba's Skate Mental brand with Antonio Durao.

This means Numbers is completely inactive without the founders and riders.

Hence, Skate Mental did not last long as Koston joined Harmony Korine's EDGLRD brand.

And Durao found a new home with Hardbody Skateboards.

Then, fast forward to 2026, Numbers posted a teaser suggesting they are back but did not provide more information on who will run it, as Koston and Mariano are riding for different brands.

The company's account is also set to private so no one can see their posts until they are back in business.

We also reported that more skate companies are shutting down like Ryan Sheckler's brand Sandlot Times and even Torey Pudwill's Thank You Skate Co.

Sheckler has already moved on with Zero and Pudwill rejoined Plan B so it is unclear whether Numbers will return to its place in the market or remain discontinued since there are already too many board brands on the market.

Whether Numbers is staging a true comeback or simply testing the waters remains to be seen, especially in an industry where brands rise and fall quickly and rider loyalty often shifts with new opportunities.

With Koston and Mariano now focused on separate paths, any revival would likely need a new structure, fresh leadership, and a clear direction that separates it from its original era.

Hence, the teaser alone is enough to fuel speculation among fans who remember the brand’s influence during its peak.

For now, all eyes are on what Numbers chooses to reveal next and whether it can carve out a place again in today’s crowded skateboarding landscape.
