The reigning, defending, and undisputed Battle at The Berrics champion Jamie Griffin is officially back and doing something wild.
He just kicked off a brand-new series on his YouTube channel where he plans to drop 1,000 different flatground tricks.
Every trick will follow proper Game of S.K.A.T.E rules. No grabs, no handplants, no boneless tricks. Just pure technical skating the way it was meant to be.
If you’ve followed Griffin before, you already know what he’s capable of.
This is the same non-pro skater who won The Berrics Game of S.K.A.T.E twice in a row. In 2022, he beat Tyler Peterson in the finals.
Then in 2023, he took down the legend Chris Cole as well as pro skater Nick Holt and once again defeated Peterson. Two titles, back-to-back.
Many believed he would have kept that streak going, but things changed when The Berrics had to shut down operations.
That meant no more Game of S.K.A.T.E and no more shot at the 2024 title. It also meant no chance to go for another one in 2025. If the contest had continued, most fans agree that Jamie would still be the one to beat.
Even Switch God Paul Rodriguez was supposed to compete with Griffin in 2022 but had to withdraw at the last minute because of COVID.
Some Griffin supporters were quick to call it an excuse, saying he didn’t want to go up against the flatground King. Whatever the real reason was, it didn’t matter. Griffin showed up and won fair and square with Cole.
Now with The Berrics on pause, Griffin is bringing the action directly to his audience.
He’s started releasing the first chunk of tricks from his 1,000 trick series, and they’re already blowing minds.
Every clip shows how clean and consistent his flatground game is. Just the kind of technical skating that made him a champion.
This series is not just for show. Once all 1,000 tricks are online, you can expect a lot of skaters to start learning them.
Everyone knows that if Game of S.K.A.T.E ever returns at The Berrics, they’ll need to be ready. Because if Griffin’s still around, it’s going to take more than just a few nollie flips to keep up.
Until then, this series gives fans something special. Griffin, one of the most skilled flatground skaters out there, is giving the world a look at everything in his bag. And he’s just getting started.
