Pro skater Tommy Sandoval has built a name for himself skating heavy street spots, going after handrails, gaps, and technical lines that most people would not even consider trying.
You already know that he has stacked up a long list of clips that show how far he is willing to go when it comes to landing difficult tricks in tough spots.
That same commitment also comes with real risk, and a recent attempt went very wrong. Sandoval took a hard slam while trying to nail a rail, and the impact led to a serious injury in the nuts area.
The fall resulted in a torn urethra along with severe swelling, followed by uncontrolled penis bleeding that quickly turned into a medical emergency.
He shared details of the incident on social media, explaining how quickly things escalated after the impact.
What started as a heavy hit turned into a frightening situation when he realized the extent of the damage.
He ended up needing surgery right away to address the injury and stabilize everything.
Sandoval gave credit to the good homie Dimetrus Collins for helping him get to the hospital and also spoke about the hospital staff who took care of him once he arrived.
Even while dealing with intense pain, he said the medical team made the situation as comfortable as they could while handling the surgery and early recovery process.
He also expressed gratitude toward his friends and family for the support he has received since the incident.
According to him, being surrounded by people who care has made a difficult situation easier to deal with. He made it a point to focus on what he still has, including being alive and on the path toward recovery.
Sandoval said he plans to get back on his board once he is fully healed, though for now the focus is on rest and recovery after a serious injury that will take time to fully recover from.

"Major shout out to @dermbot for getting me to the hospital yesterday… I just had one of the worst slams of my career. I sacked a rail and ended up w a torn urethra and some extremely swollen testicles. Scariest moment of my life was checking the situation after the sack only for my penis to start pouring blood out uncontrollably!? Had to get surgery to get it situated and now we’re on the road to a very long recovery. Thanks to the amazing staff here at the hospital, even though I’m in terrible pain they have made it as comfortable and easy going as possible. Over all I am very grateful for all the love n support from friends n family, I’m extremely blessed to be surrounded by such great people. I always gta look for the positives even in situations like this - It could’ve been a lot worse but I am alive and recovering, I am surrounded by love n support from people who genuinely care about me, and last but not least I will be back skating as soon as I’m all healed up 🙏"
