Professional skateboarder Austyn Gillette is getting ready for the release of his upcoming EP Moments, and he just shared the final single before the project officially drops on June 16.

Gillette has also continued spending time creating music alongside filming clips and handling responsibilities with his sponsors.

Even with a packed schedule, he has stayed focused on recording new material and building the sound for his latest project.

His newest single “In Due Time” carries a mellow sound that feels perfect for late night sessions, long drives, or skating through the city with friends.

The track has a laid back feel while still carrying emotional weight, showing another side of Gillette outside of skateboarding.

Gillette shared the announcement on social media and gave credit to the people involved with the release.

“My second single “In Due Time” is out now on all streaming platforms for your ears. I’d like to thank the brains and talent behind the sonic experience @jessenoahwilson & @dombillett billett photos by @magdawosinskastudio and set design by @sarajacksonholman
This is the last single before the release of my new EP ‘Moments’ that will be releasing on June 16th. Hope you like and please share:)”

Core skaters have continued supporting Gillette’s music projects over the years, especially those who have followed him since his earlier skate video parts.

While many people first discovered him through skateboarding, his music has slowly grown into another creative outlet that longtime supporters have enjoyed watching develop.

With his new track now available on streaming platforms, listeners will not have to wait much longer before hearing the full EP later this month.

Lyrics:

Simple questions, talk about em
Sit around and do the opposite

Use your words like, you’re on tip toes
Wait around the door you’ve yet to close

Can’t just hang on, to your could be’s
There’s a touch out there you’ve yet to feel

We haven’t met before, but in due time
Would you like to know you’re on my mind

Always reasons, to point the finger
Could just let it down it’s not yesterday

I don’t want to, step backwards
Just let it fall into place

Here to wait it out till the moments right
We haven’t met before, but in due time
Tried to play it cool, but lost the fight
Would you like to know you’re on my mind
