Professional skateboarder and TV personality Bam Margera will start paying $2,500 per month in child support to his estranged wife, Nikki Boyd, for their 8-year-old son, Phoenix.
According to reports, the payments are scheduled to begin on January 1. Nikki has also agreed to maintain Phoenix’s healthcare coverage.
The arrangement comes after a much higher initial request from Nikki. She had asked for $15,000 per month, citing Bam’s net worth of around $55 million. The couple ultimately agreed on a lower monthly amount, showing that both sides were able to come to a compromise.
The split between Bam and Nikki has been complicated. Bam has previously raised questions about the legitimacy of their 2013 wedding. The ceremony took place in Iceland, where neither of them were residents, and no official paperwork was filed in the United States.
Bam’s past struggles with alcohol made the situation more tense. Nikki and her legal team insisted that his drinking meant any time he spent with Phoenix needed to be closely monitored. Bam has since said he is sober and credits his new wife, Dannii Marie, with helping him make that change.
Bam explained that Dannii set firm rules for their relationship, making it clear that drinking alcohol would be treated the same as being unfaithful. The couple married in 2024, and Bam says her guidance has been a turning point for him.
With the new child support arrangement in place, Bam and Nikki now have a clear plan for supporting Phoenix, while Bam continues to work on his sobriety and family life with Dannii.
