As we previously reported, Red Bull is turning the Fernando Ferrari Administrative Centre in Porto Alegre into a giant ramp.
And now it’s official: Sandro Dias is the first pro skater to drop in on it.
Some skateboarders were quick to point out that he only dropped in from the middle, but that was still a huge deal. Landing even part of that ramp takes serious skill, and most street skaters wouldn’t even think about trying it.
And here’s the exciting part!
This was just the warm-up. Dias is getting ready to take on the full ramp this Thursday, and fans everywhere are waiting to see him go all the way.
Red Bull Brazil posted an update on social media:
"IT'S COMING TO PORTO ALEGRE
@diassandro continues to train and this Thursday (25th) will challenge the limits of skateboarding on the WORLD'S BIGGEST RAMP, directly from CAFF, at Red Bull Building Drop
Write it down so you don't forget:
Thursday, the 25th
From 12 o'clock
@getv e @sportv 2
We're waiting for youuuu
@prada | @gerdau | @hondamotosbr
@joergmitter | @marcelomaragni | @pivaphoto | @victoreleuterio"
With the warm-up done, everyone’s eyes are on Dias for Thursday. It’s going to be a huge moment, and skate heads won’t want to miss it.
