Skateboarding legend Chad Muska just came through in a big way for the Uganda Skateboarding Society, proving once again that skateboarding is about way more than just tricks. It's about community.
Over the weekend, the icon sent a fresh batch of Muska Skateboards decks, tote bags, and T-shirts to Uganda, all straight from his own collection.
The package was received by Gose Gerald (aka Nsubuga Gerald), the driving force behind the Uganda Skateboarding Society, who made the trip to personally pick everything up.
And on top of all that, Muska covered the import duties himself, making sure there were no headaches in getting the boxes where it needed to go.
That extra step meant a lot to Gerald and the skaters in Uganda, who often struggle to get quality skate gear.
For skaters in Uganda, getting good skateboards ain't easy.
The scene is growing, but with limited access to equipment, it's a constant challenge to keep rolling.
