Palace x GUCCI: Skateboarding is Officially a Fashion, Not a Passion

It's all about the money these days.

London-based skateboarding and clothing facsimile Supreme brand Palace skateboards officially collaborated with the high-end luxury fashion house Gucci.

The new era of skateboarding is not about prestige anymore. It's all about making money these days.

Soon it will be infiltrated by more corporations that will take over after the skate bible compromised with Luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton and Lacoste. Including the new collaboration of Palace x GUCCI.

Although Palace is a new skateboard brand established in 2009, mainly producing clothes, Lev Tanju, the founder, is a skater with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Unlike Thrasher with editor-in-chief Jake Phleps's leadership, their values, and behavior norms differ substantially from mainstream society - a countercultural movement that expresses only pure and gnarly skateboarding.

Unfortunately, money talks these days, and the morals and traditional values in skateboarding are gone.

Friendly Reminder: Fashion is a trend anyone follows, from dresses to walking, even if you don't skate. In contrast, passion is something that relates to a strong feeling of desire to put forth destroying street spots with the love of just pure skateboarding.

Even if you break bones hundreds of times, a core skateboarder will keep aiming for victory to land their tricks.

To all the skaters motivated only by the pure joy of skateboarding, keep that Energy High, and we hope you all accomplish what you want in life.
