On a beautiful day on March 6, 2023, Yuto Horigome, a Japanese professional skateboarder, emerged as the champion of the prestigious Tampa Pro Championship.
Horigome, only 24 years old, has been making skateboarding waves since becoming a professional in 2019. He is known for his unique and technical skating style, blending street and freestyle elements.
His hard work and dedication have paid off, as he has won numerous competitions and accolades over the years, including the prestigious Street League Skateboarding Championship in 2021.
The 2023 Tampa Pro Championship was a fiercely contested event, with over 100 pro skaters competing for the top spot.
Horigome, who had been seeded second, made a strong start in the preliminary rounds, scoring high marks for his innovative tricks and smooth execution.
He continued his excellent form in the semi-finals, impressing the judges with his incredible balance and control on the board.
In the final round, Horigome faced stiff competition from some of the world's best skateboarders, including Chris Joslin, who placed second, and Giovanni Vianna, placing third.
However, he managed to keep his nerves in check and put in a flawless performance, quickly landing some of the most difficult tricks of the day.
