X Games Re-release their 2001 skateboard street competition via their official YouTube channel.
"Twenty years ago today, on August 11, 2001, X Games held its first Skateboard Street competition at City Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. And it was mayhem." X Games wrote. "Imagine the scenario: across a busy downtown street from Love Park, Philadelphia's City Hall was already a go-to destination for street skaters"
"And with the addition of a few banked landings that created new lines, X Games took to the streets for the very first time. Featured skaters include Kerry Getz, Eric Koston, Kareem Campbell, Kyle Berard, Chris Senn, Ricky Oyola, Rick McCrank, Josh Kalis, and some impromptu MC'ing from Jason Ellis."
Back when the internet and social media were not a thing, skateboarding was already dominating the streets of Los Angeles, New York, and especially the skate scene in Love Park.
