Grant Yansura and WKND Skateboards have been spending a lot of time filming skits and putting out content that mixes humor with skating around the streets.
The crew has been active, keeping things cool between filming ideas and actually getting out on their boards.
At some point during the process, some of the riders were smoking weed while hanging out. Grant was not part of it at first. He stayed back and just watched everyone else get into it.
He seemed unsure about joining in and kept his distance while the rest of the group relaxed and laughed.
After a couple of moments thinking it over, Grant decided to take a small hit as well. That changed the mood of the hangout for everyone.
The squad ended up laughing more, talking nonsense, and enjoying the moment without taking anything too seriously.
After what felt like a long stretch of time passing in that state of mind, Grant later found himself looking at ideas that had been created during that period.
One of those ideas ended up being a skateboard deck design called the WEED board instead of something more traditional under the WKND name.
