San Francisco just got even better for skaters.
The UN Skate Plaza expansion is officially open, and the city came together for a two-day celebration that was all about skating, giving back, and good times.
With support from the San Francisco Recreation & Park Department, Converse, and Skate Like a Girl, the event welcomed skaters of all levels to break in the new obstacles.
The Converse CONS team rolled through, getting lines in and hyping up the locals, while the crew from Shred N Butter and SF Skate Club walked away with fresh gear thanks to a Supply The Ride giveaway.
Skate Like a Girl ran hands-on clinics, giving newer skaters the confidence to drop in and keep going. And for those looking to put their skills to the test, CONS switched things up with a cash-for-tricks session. Except this time, skaters earned gift cards for landing tricks.
If you haven’t checked out the plaza yet, now’s the time. Grab your board and hit up the new obstacles - San Francisco just gave skaters another reason to stay shredding.
