Last year, we reported that the Thrasher Magazine's two-time Skater of the Year got kicked off his bike in Paris while riding, and all the haters called him a p*ssy for not doing anything.
Jones recently broke his silence on The Breakfast Club when Charlamagne Tha God brought up the incident, saying that was the first time he had heard about Jones because of the wild headlines.
The King Skateboards CEO revealed that he saw it coming when a French guy, who was riding alongside him and his Adidas team manager, started getting in their way and calling him names for riding his bike slowly.
The reason Jones was riding so slowly was that he had his skateboard in the front basket and had to use his left hand to balance it. He said he was struggling to keep steady, but the random guy kept bugging him.
Jones then told the guy to back off and signaled to his team manager behind him to start filming because he wasn’t going to let it slide.
“We look at each other, and he’s like, ‘Please, Tyshawn, no,’” Jones explained. “And I look back at the guy—he's screaming at me—and I’m like, ‘Get out of my face, or it’s going to be an issue.’”
After that, they just kept biking and forgot about the guy. But Jones said the guy rode ahead, waited on the side, and timed his move to kick him off his bike.
After getting kicked, he looked at his team manager and said, “It’s over.” He continued, “I’m like, I don’t want to hear nothing. I’m going to get him.”
He grabbed his bike and started chasing the guy who kicked him, but he couldn’t catch up because the guy had a throttle-assisted bike, which was much faster than a regular one.
“I see him, but he’s fading away, and he makes a right. When I get to the corner, let’s say ten seconds later, it’s like three different ways he could’ve gone,” Jones said. “So I’m standing there like, ‘Which way should I go?’ And I don’t see him, so I’m like, ‘Oh my God.’”
He admitted that when some of his homies saw him, he felt a little embarrassed that they might see him fighting the guy. “But I couldn’t find him, so I had to give up,” Jones said.
