Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater is heading back to the stage and not just in video game form.
According to reports, Activision Blizzard is teaming up with AEG Presents and Goldenvoice to host THPS Fest, a one-night event celebrating the upcoming Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 remake.
It all goes down on Thursday, May 8th at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles.
The lineup brings together a mix of punk and hip-hop acts tied to the legacy of the series. Fans of the classic THPS soundtracks will recognize the Adolescents, longtime SoCal punk staples whose track “Amoeba” was part of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 back in 2001 and it’s coming back for the remake.
Also on the bill: San Diego punk band Urethane, fronted by none other than Steve Caballero. He’s not just a pro skater, but a recurring character in the games since the early days. Urethane’s song “Dog Years” marks their first entry in the THPS soundtrack universe.
Rounding out the lineup are two names from the hip-hop world. Lupe Fiasco, who was featured in Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam in 2006 with “Kick, Push,” is set to appear - likely with a new song tied to the 3+4 release.
He’s joined by Danny Brown, who will be making his THPS debut in the upcoming game.
While there’s no word yet on public tickets, fans won’t have to miss out entirely. The entire show will be streamed live on Twitch starting at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET.
Alongside the performances, expect an exclusive first look at gameplay from Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, which drops on July 11th.
