Every October Thrasher Magazine throws down one of the wildest gatherings in skateboarding.
The Halloween Hellbomb is a yearly tradition that brings straight chaos mixed with costumes and some of the heaviest skating the streets of Los Angeles ever sees.
Thrasher just dropped the word that it is going down on Saturday October 25 and skaters everywhere are already locking it in.
The Halloween Hellbomb is not your average skate event.
It is a straight takeover. Hundreds of core heads pull up in costumes ready to bomb hills hit sketchy spots and roll through whatever Thrasher sets up.
Some come to throw down their hardest tricks some come just to mob with the crowd but everybody is there for the same reason the love of skateboarding.
Los Angeles is the only city that could handle it. Skaters from all over show up and the streets turn into a wild stage.
Pros pull through but so do locals who just want to mob the spots with their homies. Nobody cares how good you are. If you got a board and you roll up you are part of it.
Thrasher’s insane event has nothing to do with contests or trophies. No judges no rules no fake hype. Just more gnar and celebration mixed together.
It is for the skaters who do not care about falling who laugh when they bleed and who want to spend Halloween on their boards instead of anywhere else.
