Top-seeded professional skateboarder Taylor Silverman appeared on the Michele Tafoya podcast to discuss the issue of transgender athletes competing against women in sports.
For nearly 30 years, Tafoya has been reporting from the sidelines, covering the NBA, NFL, Olympics, and college football and basketball national championships.
And now, she believes that in these crazy times, we all need a healthy dose of sanity, particularly because the LGBTQIA+ community is stronger than ever - which she had to interview Silverman.
Silverman did not hold back in explaining how she lost to an LGBTQIA+ skateboarder. She spent her own money to travel to the Red Bull Cornerstone contest and rent a house just to compete, only to lose to a biological male, according to the pro skater.
"This man placed first, he also won women's best trick and between the qualifiers and the finals, he took home $5,000 of the prize money that was meant for women." Silverman said, "And my paychek was cut a couple of thousand of dollars because of that."
Silverman stood her ground despite facing backlash and major outrage from the queer community and its allies.
This situation led to Tim Pool taking care of her and promoting her as the top pro for the company with the backing of The Boonies high-ranking official Richie Jackson.
