Skateboarding contest skater girl Taylormay Silverman is now using her voice and rights as a public speaker for women's skate contests and sports in general.
The 27-year-old was recently invited to Independent Women's Forum to speak about women's issues in skateboarding competitions.
She knows what it's like to compete against biological males in her sport and how it makes female athletes in every sport feel to face this impossible situation.
Silverman said. "We deserve fairness in sports, and we're curently losing out on opportunities, titles, paycheks, scholarships, and more while being made to feel like we can't receive what we've earned for our hard work and being made to feel unimportant in a space that was created for us."
Although Silverman has received praises for fighting for her right as an athlete and a woman, her opposition calls her transphobic.
On the other hand, fellow contest girl skater Shiloh Catori is using her social media to spread positivity after losing to another transgender skateboarder Ricci Tres, a 29-year-old, who received the top spot in the Boardr Open skateboarding competition.
