Dear Readers,
We at ShreddER sincerely apologize to Chris Cole and his team for any confusion caused by our previous reports regarding his association with Fallen Footwear and the allegations surrounding his personal life. We also want to clarify that we never reported that Cole is guilty.
After receiving clarification, we acknowledge that Cole is not canceled and remains a valued rider for Fallen Footwear. We deeply regret any inaccuracies that may have implied otherwise, as our intern and head of our editorial team responsible for the initial reporting have been reprimanded and placed on disciplinary suspension until further notice.
As part of our commitment to transparency, we would like to provide context to our readers and apologize directly to Cole, who has consistently demonstrated himself to be a professional, a gentleman, and a devoted father.
At no point did Cole make derogatory statements about the mother of his children. Instead, he has remained focused on protecting his kids from the media so that they don't get hurt emotionally because of all the allegations.
Our Original Misstatement:
We previously reported Cole's absence from the Fallen Footwear website and linked this to his possible cancelation based on the team page being gone, as well as Zero Skateboards acknowledging he was no longer on their team and Remind Insoles. We also attempted to contact Fallen Footwear for confirmation but did not receive a response and are still awaiting their reply. However, upon receiving accurate information, it is clear that Cole is still proudly affiliated with Fallen and continues to be a legend in the skateboarding industry.
Cole is a two-time Skater of the Year and a three-time MVP of Thrasher's King of the Road. He has numerous NBDs under his belt, including a 360 flip down the iconic Wallenberg spot, and is widely regarded as the overall GOAT.
Our Apology:
We're really sorry for any upset this may have caused Cole and his family. He has always kept quiet about his personal stuff, and instead, he focuses on his career and being a good dad. We really admire how he looks out for his kids and respect his decision to shield them from any potential harm.
Setting The Record Straight:
At ShreddER, we strive to provide fair and balanced reporting. We will continue to stress that the allegations from his ex-wife remain just that—allegations—and shouldn't be seen as a true representation of Cole's character or career.
To Cole and his family, we extend our deepest apologies and gratitude for your patience and understanding. We know that taking good care of one's family is super important, and we think Cole is awesome for looking out for them and being respectful.
Thank you to his legal team for bringing this matter to our attention and allowing us to correct the record. Cole remains the Greatest Of All Time in the skateboarding world and a valued member of the Fallen Footwear squad.
Freedom of Press:
At ShreddER, we're dedicated to maintaining journalistic integrity and we'll keep working to make sure our reporting is always truthful and fair.
We're all about keeping it real with our news. Our stories are thoroughly researched and come from credible sources. The opinions and views expressed in our articles are those of the individual writers and might not be the official stance of ShreddER.
When we report, we use words like "allegedly," "claims," and "allegations" to show that some statements are still being checked out.
We aim to provide context and include relevant sources to back up the info we give you. If we need to make any corrections or updates to our reports, we're all over that.
We totally support checking out info from different sources and love it when there's more evidence to add - it helps us keep things real. As a news crew, our job is to dish out fair coverage and fix any mistakes pronto. Keeping things honest and straightforward is our mission.
Sincerely,
The ShreddER Team
