Street League Skateboarding just shook things up for how fans can get in on the action watching contests, betting, and winning.

The global series has officially partnered with Stake, one of the biggest online betting and gaming platforms in the world.

While SLS events have always been about big tricks, heavy talent, and rowdy crowds, the addition of a betting element opens a completely new lane for how audiences can interact with skateboarding.

The connection between SLS and Stake started earlier this year when Stake got involved as the presenting rights partner for SLS Miami and the first ever SLS Takeover in Santa Monica. Those events went off without a hitch, drawing huge audiences both in person and online.

After seeing the response, Stake decided to go all in and keep the collaboration rolling for the rest of the SLS Championship Tour season.

According to SLS CEO Frank Lamicella, the partnership is designed to bring fresh ideas to fans as the tour travels to different cities around the world. From new ways to watch the contests to fan focused activities at each stop, the plan is to make SLS events more interactive than ever.

Stake’s Chief Marketing Officer Akhil Sarin explained that skateboarding is not just about tricks. It is tied into fashion, music, art, and a certain kind of street culture that resonates globally. That crossover appeal makes it a perfect fit for Stake’s brand, which thrives on connecting entertainment with competition.

Stake will also sponsor the annual SLS Trick of the Year contest, where skaters from all over the world submit clips for a shot at a cash prize and bragging rights. This contest has always been about creativity and progression, and having a major backer could take the rewards and exposure even higher.
