skate. is getting ready for Season 4, which arrives on June 2, and the update is bringing a fresh look to the game’s lighting.

The team shared that this season includes a new lighting pass designed to give the game a more summer feel.

It’s been a while since they last adjusted lighting in a major way, with the previous update going back to Season 2, so this change stands out as a fresh visual refresh for players jumping in.

They also worked with the Senior Lighting Director to talk through how the update came together.

The focus was on adjusting how light behaves across different areas in the game, helping scenes feel more fitting for the new season while still keeping the core look players know.

As shared in the official post, Season 4 of skate. starts June 2 and introduces this lighting update as part of its seasonal rollout.
