The core skateboarding brands and their communities are very strict about accepting YouTube sensations as part of the industry.

Hence, San Diego's finest Sk8Mafia officially featured YouTube skater John Hill in one of their videos, "Micro Dos."

As we previously reported, YouTube sensation Nigel Jones revealed that once a skateboarder becomes a YouTuber, it will be difficult for a skater to be a part of the core industry, as you will be excluded.

Despite the gatekeeping going on in the core industry, Sk8Mafia still had to feature Hill and believed in his skills using their micro board.

The YouTube star annihilated the spots in the Court House with a manual, smooth smith grind on a ledge, frontside tailslide to frontside heelflip out, impressive firing lines and other mind-blowing tricks.

A shared Instagram post from the Mafia family and YouTuber posted, "Shout out to @sk8mafia for including me in their newest vid. They motivated me to hand someone else the camera for once 😂 🎥 @joston.michael and shout out to the homies in the comments 💛💛"

Hill started skating for Birdhouse but ended up becoming a YouTube star to earn more money. He is sponsored by Revive Skateboards. However, Andy Schrock's company was born as a YouTube company.

These days, it's becoming more linient for YouTubers to become associated with the core industry.

With Chocolate pro skateboarder Christ Roberts becoming a YouTuber, as well as Luis "Moose" De Los Reyes from Mystery Skateboards, Tom Asta from Santa Cruz Skateboards and other pro skater jumping the ship for YouTube stardom.

Soon, we will see YouTube skaters joining Zero Skateboards, Toy Machine, Plan B, and other OG brands accepting TikTok stars.
