According to the Wasatch County Sheriff's Office, the Hoonigan Racing Division rider was on a snowmobile at around 2 PM on a steep slope when the vehicle suddenly upended and landed on top of him.

Unfortunately, Block was pronounced dead on the scene due to injuries he suffered during the mishap.

"It's with our deepest regrets that we can confirm that Ken Block passed away in a snowmobile accident today." Hoonigan Industries said. "Ken was a visionary, a pioneer and an icon. And most importantly, a father and husband."

"He will be incredibly missed." The added. "Please respect the family's privacy at this time while they grieve."

Our deepest condolences to Block's fans, friends and family. You may rest in peace.
