Red Alert Skateshop is crushed to share that they lost their homie Edgar.
He had been holding it down at the shop since 2020, but he was more than a coworker. He was family to everyone who knew him.
Edgar had a way of making every weekend and every trip feel alive. Skating across the country, cracking jokes, getting into arguments, and just being real with each other.
Those are the moments they will never forget.
He brought loyalty, humor, and a presence that made the shop feel like home and left a mark on everyone who rolled with him.
The shop will be closed for the next few days to honor him.
They will reopen Friday for anyone who wants to come by, share stories, skate, and remember him.
A memorial event will be held next weekend for the crew to celebrate his life and everything he meant to them.
Edgar’s passing hits hard for the crew and his family.
Edgar was more than a skater or a team member. He was a true homie. He will be missed in the shop, on the streets, and in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

"This is going to be a tough post, its hard to even type this morning with my eyes so swollen...edgar passed away, and out of respect for the family I wont go into details. What matters is I lost one of my best friends and nothing can change that. Edgar had worked at the shop since 2020 and I've known him since he was 13. We spent alot of time together and I have 1000s of photos just locked away in my phone of all the things we did. Every weekend we'd hang out and talk shit to each other. He was a groom in my wedding. We went on skate trips across the country. We hugged each other and we fought each other. But in the end we were just homies. Its infinitely rare in this world to find someone you just know will be a true homie and i know ill spend everyday from now on just looking back on him and everything we did. He was truly one of a kind and deserved better than this world gave him. I have so much more to say but cant get it all out right now. RIP edgar, I love you man. ❤️💔
This also means the shop will be closed the next few days. We'll be open Friday for anyone who wants to come by and just talk and have a skate to remember him. Ill announce a formal memorial event for the next weekend. Please take some time today to think back on him and remember how fragile and temporary everything can be."
