As we previously reported, Endless Grind has officially closed its storefront after spending 40 years as part of the Raleigh skate community.
Now, shop owner Reggie Barnes has shared a heartfelt message with everyone who supported Endless Grind through the years, thanking customers, employees, vendors, friends, and the local skate scene for making the shop feel like much more than a place to buy skate gear.
Barnes said deciding to close the shop was one of the hardest choices he has ever had to make, but he felt the time had come. Looking back on four decades in business, he expressed gratitude to everyone who walked through the doors, supported the shop, and helped build its legacy over the years.
He also gave special thanks to the Flythe family and the Croom family for giving him the opportunity to open Endless Grind in the first place, saying the shop would never have existed without their support.
Although the physical location has closed, Barnes made it clear that Endless Grind is not completely gone. The brand will continue online through EndlessGrind.com, allowing longtime customers to stay connected as the business begins its next chapter.
Barnes ended his message by thanking everyone who had been part of Endless Grind during the past four decades. He said the friendships, memories, and support meant everything to him and that the shop was never just about the building. For him, Endless Grind was about the people who made it feel like home.
His message has been met with appreciation from skaters who grew up visiting the shop, with many sharing their own memories and thanking Barnes for everything he gave to the Raleigh skate community over the last 40 years.
