Skateboarding legend and Birdhouse head honcho Tony Hawk officially welcomed Reese Nelson as their team's first and youngest girl vert skater.

At just ten years old, the Canadian girl skateboarder is tackling verts like riders well beyond her years, and her slick tricks and skills are attracting attention.

As a result of her hard work, the Birdman gave her an opportunity of a lifetime to join one of the best teams in the history of skateboarding.

On her 10th birthday, Nelson dropped her heavy video with the confidence of a veteran vert skater. It only served to solidify her spot as an official member of the Birdhouse team. We can't wait to see what is next for her.

"Stoked to be part of the team! Thanks, Tony Hawk." She said. "Appreciate everyone that helped make this happen, especially Bail Gun Gary and Bryce Pagter for filming."
