Professional skateboarder Jereme Rogers also known by his rap name as J3R3M3, is back doing his thing and people are talking.
This time, it is not for a new trick or a contest win but for a freestyle rap centered around his MAGA-themed pro model skateboard and a shoutout to President Donald Trump.
The clip, which shows J3R3M3 rapping over a simple beat, started circulating online.
It did not take long for people to weigh in. While J3R3M3 still gets plenty of respect for what he accomplished during his skateboarding career, his music has never been widely embraced.
Many skaters and fans have made it clear that they are not feeling his lyrics or delivery.
One person who did not hold back was skater-rapper Rainz Cash.
He is a core skater and rap artist signed to Soulja Boy’s SODMG label. After seeing the freestyle, Rainz Cash reacted with one word: "WTF." He then followed up with a sharper comment: "Bro should just kept skating," and dropped the hashtag #noteveryoneisarapper.
Rainz Cash probably felt like J3R3M3 was treating rap more like a gimmick than something that takes real time and skill.
J3R3M3 has not responded to Rainz Cash or commented on the criticism. He seems to be doing his own thing, regardless of how people feel about it.
Whatever it is, it might turn into a bigger back-and-forth or even some diss tracks coming real soon.
