The use of mongo footing in skateboarding is ok, and you should be skating whatever feels the most comfortable for you. However, there are legitimate reasons why you should try your best to avert yourself from pushing mongo. If you think that you will never stop pushing mongo then, always be prepared for other skaters to heckle you about how you push your skateboard. Please understand that there is nothing wrong with it.
What Does Skating Mongo Mean?
So what the hell is a "mongo pushing" in a skateboarding term anyway? Well, mongo push is pushing your skateboard using your front foot in the back of your deck. When you push mongo, you place your back feet near the middle of your skateboard and use your front foot to push. Check out the video below to know more.
Skating Switch Back Then
Back in the late 90's to early 2000's a lot of professional skateboarders used to push mongo but, they do it because they were about to perform a switch stance to execute a trick or what they call "Switch Mongo." So the exception to the rule is you can push mongo as long as you are one of the triple OG's in the game.

The Problem of Pushing Mongo
The main issue about the mongo push is it takes time to bring your front foot from behind your deck back to your front board. This will be much difficult if you are approaching a near obstacle in your firing line. Also, the problem you will face is your back foot is closer to the tail of your board which will make you tick-tack without your will or automatically does it on its own so why, make it hard on yourself when you can just push regular or goofy, whichever your stance is; it allows you to turn easily and maintain your speed while pushing.
Conclusion
It sucks to re-learn all over again but never change your style just because the skaters are telling you names or they hate how it looks. A lot of skateboarders who used to do mongo footing have a really good switch stance primarily because of the use of the same feet pushing it. Lastly, no matter who you are, no matter what you say or what you do people will still say something because you can never please everyone on how you skate so just do what makes you happy.
