Daniel Chung, better known online as POV Husband, recently shared a casual moment that brought together his childhood memories and real life.
While he is more widely known today as a food influencer and vlogger, this encounter showed a different side of him, one tied to growing up with skate culture and video games.
He met skateboarder Daewon Song and made sure to take a photo with him.
According to Daniel, the meeting felt relaxed and unexpected. He shared that Daewon even mentioned, “wait I’ve seen you guys somewhere,” not realizing at first that they were actually local.
For Daniel, the moment brought back memories from when he spent a lot of time playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater on the N64, along with using Tech Deck fingerboards.

Like many kids who spent time on that game, it led him to take an interest in skateboarding. He gave it a try for about a year, practicing regularly and sticking with it for a while.
Unfortunately, landing a kickflip never happened for him, and eventually he stepped away from skating and kept things simple with Tech Decks.
Now, years later, he finds himself in a completely different place.
POV Husband has built a following on TikTok and Instagram where he shares food content and day to day moments with a relaxed and humorous style.
Before content creation, he worked in banking and later made a shift into business ownership.
In 2020, he bought a fast casual restaurant, and over time expanded into owning multiple locations along with real estate tied to those businesses.
As things progressed, he and his partners later sold two of those restaurant locations in 2022.
He has talked openly in past discussions about business decisions, selling strategies, and why restaurant sales often do not reach high valuation multiples compared to other industries.
He has also shared that he continues to explore different business ideas moving forward.
This recent meetup with Daewon Song brought together a personal memory from his younger years with his current life in content creation and business.
It was a simple photo moment, but one that connected a childhood interest with a real life interaction years later.
