Illegal Civ boss Mikey Alfred has gained a reputation for charging skateboarders for his service since he is also a renowned director outside skating.
His reasoning is that he has worked tirelessly to film skateboarders, using his sweat, blood, and tears to make them known in the skateboard world.
Although becoming a filmer is a challenging task, especially when the compensation is often limited to clothing through an ex-deal, lacking financial rewards, Alfred has provided more awareness in the industry with his gnarly resume IC 1, 2, 3, Goodspeed, and his most precious work that he always brag about, the first teen movie, "North Hollywood."
We also reported last year that flow skater Logan Kirshak claimed that Alfred was charging him 700k for his part after he asked for the footage.
However, the IC head honcho was unhappy and blasted Kirshak, saying he would never receive skate clips since he backed out at the last minute.
Fast forward to 2024, Alfred is now asking X Games to pay him for his hard work as his footage of King Skateboards pro skater Na-Kel Smith was used without his permission.
