It's a film made by Sean Wang. This movie recently received accolades, including the Special Jury and Audience Awards at Sundance, and is set to hit theaters on July 26.
Sean Wang, known for his Academy Award nomination, wrote and directed Dìdi. It's set in the Bay Area in 2008 and gives a funny, rebellious, and heartfelt shoutout to first-gen teens dealing with all the challenges of growing up.
The story follows a 13-year-old Taiwanese American kid, played by Izaac Wang (known from Good Boys and Disney's Raya and the Last Dragon).
